On Returning Carriages

In the process of setting up my first post, I discovered something. Blogs make paragraphs a pain in the ass, pardon my language. In case there's anyone else in the blogging world who just wants some good, old-fashioned paragraphs in their posts, here's the quick and dirty:

1. Find the place that allows you to edit the Html text on your post.

2. Where you want to start a paragraph, type "open angle bracket p close angle bracket"

3. Where you want to end a paragraph, type "open angle bracket forward slash p close angle bracket"

4. Repeat this for each paragraph section.

Type the characters named above, not the words. That's another beauty of Html--apparently I can't type the instructions without causing bizarre paragraph breaks. I also don't know how the various Html tags interact with one another, so you might have to fiddle with things a bit. Here's my source for the solution: HTML Basics

Sullivan's Eclectics is open for business.

I doubt that anyone will stumble over my little corner of the web before I have a chance to post anything substantial, but if you do, welcome! It may be a little while before I have much up of any real interest. When I do, you can expect to see articles on topics like knitting, baking, hiking in Maine, book/film reviews, and whatever else I happen to take an interest in. For the reader who has no interest in reading all of my articles, these will be labeled by topic. The blog will also include fiction, poetry, and analytical essays that I have written.

The material on this blog will all be my original work and my property unless otherwise noted, so if you use it, please make note that it came from Lyss Sullivan, http://sullivanseclectic.bogspot.com/.

I'm a professional editor, which means that my own work is only bound to be embarrassingly full of silly mistakes. If you catch any, please feel free to say something. Likewise, until I find myself becoming so incredibly popular that it's a problem (ha!) my email is an open door to anyone who wants to chat about a post.

And that's the way it is at Sullivan's Eclectic. I hope you'll find good reason to visit me often!

Cheers,

Lyss Sullivan
